Swift is best known for writing 'Gulliver's Travels' (1726), an enduring work of satirical prose that has secured his place as one of the leading writers in the early 18th century. Another significant contribution to English literature is Swift's 'A Tale of a Tub' (1704), which is considered one of his most complex and masterful early works.
